Body found in search for missing 28-year-old man Jayden Usher in Kingaroy

Body found in search for missing 28-year-old man Jayden Usher in Kingaroy

A body has been found in the search for a young man missing in Queensland, with police yet to determine if his disappearance is suspicious.

Jayden Usher, 28, was last seen by his family about 3am on October 5 in Kingaroy, west of the Sunshine Coast.

Queensland Police confirmed a man’s body was found in the yard of an unoccupied property on River Rd in Kingaroy on Wednesday morning.

But police could not confirm if the body was that of Usher, and said they were “keeping an open mind”.

The body was discovered by detectives about 10am during the search for Usher, and not during earlier searches of the area.

An autopsy will be conducted in Brisbane to determine the identity and cause of death.

“No definite determinations have been made at this stage. Police are continuing with the investigation,” police said earlier.

Usher’s family said his disappearance was “out of character”.

Police had earlier asked people in southern Kingaroy to “keep an eye out for a missing black iPhone 15 that may have been discarded in a park, yard, bushes or drain”.

They are also appealing for anyone with any information about Usher’s disappearance to contact them.
