Loved ones raised the alarm when they never made it back home and were unable to be contacted.
Concerns were held for the family due to “their ages and this being out of character”, police said earlier.
Police on Tuesday confirmed the mum and two children “were located safe and well today by officers from Mount Druitt Command”.
“Police would like to thank the media and public for their assistance,” police said.
