Police ask for public help in search for missing Benalla man, Hayden

Residents are being asked to check their sheds and outbuildings for a man who has been missing in Victoria’s northeast for five days.

Hayden was last seen near Lakeside Dr in the rural area of Chesney Vale, 20 minutes from Benalla, on the evening of Friday, September 8.

Police and family of the 40-year-old hold concerns about his welfare due to medical conditions and are appealing for public assistance to help find him.

An extensive search is underway with local police, the Air Wing, Water Police, the SES and CFA among the agencies assisting.

Victoria Police urge residents, particularly anyone with outbuildings and sheds on farming properties, to look out for Hayden.

He is described as Aboriginal, 184cm tall with short dark hair.

When last seen he was barefoot and wearing dark clothing.

Anyone who sees Hayden or has any information should contact Benalla Police Station on 5760 0200.
